Communicating - Science And ICT
Ciber Cafe by larskflem

A key feature of ICT is the way it can facilitate communication. Children's understanding of scientific concepts are constantly evolving and being able to easily update their work is a real benefit. Having an easy means of revising and changing work to reflect these ever-changing "constructions" is a powerful reason for using computers in science.

  • Standard Microsoft Applications can be used in creative ways to communicate knowledge. Some ideas including using PowerPoint to make a Quiz, or Alphabet Glossary. The Powerpoint XP or Powerpoint 2007 tutorial on using action settings with PowerPoint may help

Of course you can also create similar activities using Google Presentation.

Web 2.0 tools such as Blogs, Wikis, Podcasts, YouTube, Ning and even Twitter enable students to quickly and easily communicate online
