Google is usually the first choice. To get the best out of Google make sure that you read the Search Tips and learn how to use the Advanced Search function.
Storing your bookmarks or favorites on your computer is far from efficient. Social Bookmarking site such as Diigo or delicious offer many advantages. To see either in action go to mrpbps' Diigo Bookmarks and/or mrpbp's delicious Bookmarks (make sure you do a search on the tag 'science'). To get you started with both click on the following for some introductory notes on Setting up a Diigo account and Setting up a delicious account. Diigo also has the capability to create Webslides, an interesting way to present websites to students.
An excellent collection of science based activities plus the science underpinning them can be found at Science Playwiths.
